THE ART OF JAPANESE STONE SEALS
Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Rakkan, a personal seal used by artists and calligraphers to sign their work, our 18mm Stone Hanko brings a timeless form of artistic expression into your hands.
Carved from natural Seidenseki stone, each seal is individually made with careful attention to the balance of its characters and the beauty of its impression.
Choose between two traditional engraving styles:
- Hakubun (White Characters) — Characters appear white against a red background.
- Shubun (Red Characters) — Characters appear red against a white background.
Personalize your seal with your name or a meaningful word in Kanji or Katakana. Your engraving will be thoughtfully adapted to fit the traditional four-character design.
Whether used for calligraphy, artwork, or as a personal signature, your Stone Hanko becomes a distinctive mark of your identity and creativity.

THE ART OF JAPANESE STONE SEAL ENGRAVING
Stone seals, known as Rakkan (落款), have long been used by Japanese artists and calligraphers to sign and complete their works.
Unlike everyday Hanko, a stone seal serves as a personal artistic signature — a mark that becomes part of the artwork itself.
Each seal is individually engraved in Seidenseki stone, with careful attention to the balance of the characters, the surrounding space, and the impression they create together.
Choose between two traditional engraving styles:
- Hakubun (白文): White characters against a red background.
- Shubun (朱文): Red characters against a white background.
The result is a distinctive personal seal that brings a timeless Japanese artistic tradition into your own creative practice.
